Cobalt Oxide is
widely used in the production of colours for the ceramic, vitreous enameling
and glass industries.
Cobalt, by virtue of its intense and appealing colouring
effect, is the major element used in producing blue colours for the ceramics
and vitreous enameling
industry.
|
For ceramic colours, it is observed that percentage of Cobalt
content is of less importance. Cobalt Oxide of 74% Co. produces
weaker colours, whereas Cobalt Oxide with 68% Co. produces
more intense colour.
It is therefore suggested to try the sample on use basis and
compare colour intensity and tonality with standard sample.
